Louis Vuitton Pochette Métis review
I bought a new bag. And I love it a lot. Well, obviously, because otherwise I wouldn’t spend a ridiculous amount of money on something that you can put THINGS in. I know all of you bag-lovers will truly understand me. And because it was such an investment and a lot of thought went into this purchase, I wanted to give you a review of the bag. In case you are wondering whether or not to get the same one. Starting off, I loved the Pochette Métis style right when it came out. I had been on the look-out for a black bag I could wear cross-body but which still looked elegant. Chanel wasn’t able to provide the exact bag I had asked for for months but since the Pochette Métis only came in canvas, it was no option for me. If only they would make it in black leather…
Well, they did. The Pochette Métis Monogram Empreinte in black just came out with this year’s spring/summer collection in March and when I found out about it, I kinda freaked. I searched the website but it was not available, called the store: not available. Finally called their customer service hotline and seriously, talked to the nicest woman EVER! She immediately offered to put me on the waiting list and said it would take 2-3 weeks before they’d get back to me. Only a week later I got the mail that my bag was available and ready to be picked up at the store. I hadn’t even seen it until the day I picked it up. We all know how the stories ends: I love the style and the functionality of it even more now that I have worn it a couple of times.
The leather is pebbled which makes it super durable and I love the Monogramme Empreinte. Plus, the size is simply perfect for me because I’m a tall person (5’’11) so it doesn’t look tiny weird on me. Also, it just fits a lot. And with the three compartments plus big zipper pocket in the back, everything stays organized and you can actually find stuff. It looks equally pretty worn cross-body or just on the top handle, which makes it a perfect bag for any city or shopping trip. In my opinion, it’s just a really versatile and solid bag that can be paired with pretty much every outfit. Definitely check it out if you’re looking for that kind of bag.
